Wayne founded SoundED in 2016 after over 20 years experience working in a wide variety of community based settings from personal counselling, men’s health and family work to a focus on drug and alcohol counseling with at risk young people.

From 2003 – 2016 Wayne facilitated a music program called Real 2 Reel which aimed to engage young people in out of home care to write, record and produce their own songs, learn to play an instrument or DJ, make short films, run a radio program or build instruments. Real 2 Reel has also worked with countless groups in prisons, schools and community groups across Victoria including aboriginal elders, refugee groups and disengaged young people.

Wayne is also a co facilitator of Realtone, founded by Steve Lane in 2007. Through Realtone Steve and Wayne have facilitated music programs in East Timor through PLAN International, and indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and in Fiji through Red Dust Role Models and Save the Children.
